Battle of the Bands

This Friday The Mobtown Saints will perform at a fundraising event for Trent Kittleman in the Great Room at Savage Mill from 7 PM to 11 PM. The same evening Pineflood will perform at a fundraising event at Merriweather Post Pavilion for Ken Ulman from 7 PM to 10 PM ( Merriweather does have a noise ordinance after all).

The question is; if you’re an independent, do you pick an event based on music, location or politics?

Then again if other adult obligations limit you to only one event this week, chose none of the above and go to the 28th annual Columbia Foundation Spring Garden Party on Thursday instead. It’s the best communitywide party in Howard County.

Funny. I knew about Kittleman's event a while ago and then when I saw the email from Ulman also having a band, I had the same "Battle of the Bands" thought.

We also get to have Ehrlich and O'Malley in the county on Tuesday and Thursday respectively at the two annual party dinners....

So what's happening to the Republican's first friday? As an Independent, I was going to go to that one.
