CG moved back on Thursday. Her finals completed, she moved out of campus housing for another year and returned to HoCo for the summer.
It’s not quite summer though. It’s very much May, the lusty month of May if you will. The early blooming cherry trees and daffodils have moved out and springs next act it set to begin. The change in nature’s rhythm is palatable.
The seasonal return of CG after two seasons of living with a different tribe similarly changes the rhythm of a household. Mostly it’s in a good way, for me at least. On the other hand I’ve noticed that with mothers and daughters it appears to be more complicated than just good or bad.
Still, at the end of the day, it is comforting to have your flesh and blood back under the same roof again. Just in time for Mother’s Day.
A Moment to Remember
