Remote Controlled Grass Cutting

This morning, as I was driving down Dorsey Run Road in Jessup, I spotted this odd looking lawn mower moving alongside the road.

I circled back around to investigate.

Standing nearby, with a remote control unit, was Kevin Orner. Kevin is with Commercial Maintenance & Management Corp and he was operating the Dvorak Spider ILD 02.

It’s a mower specifically designed to cut grass on slopes up to 60 degrees.

One of these babies could be a real game changer in my yard.

Totally awesome. Hard to believe that thing will climb a 60 degree grade.

I can see you now WB.
Sitting in you recliner with remote in hand, the epitome of modern day sedentary life. By the way, I guess you could use the TV remote and watch your favorite soap at the same time.

So how much do they cost? And how can I convince the wife?

Anon 5:54 PM,

Kevin says they run around 40 grand. Tell the wife she can spend that much on something she wants. That should do the trick.

It costs not very much - around 16000 EUR. Find in www.mascus.com or similar websites.

This thing is sweet! I can't believe this post is this old and this is the first I've heard of this thing! I need to get out more.
