The parking lot looked like a mall on December 23. We parked (legally) on a service road and walked across the construction area. All that effort made it extra amusing that the store looks exactly like the one in King's Contrivance (except that it has no Starbucks).
Thanks for providing the update. I was over in Maple Lawn around 3:30 PM when I noticed a large banner on a tractor trailer that read "Open Wednesday."
"Perfect", I thought. I needed some groceries so I'll just pop on in. I walked in the door, grabbed a basket only to be told by an employee that the store wouldn't be open until 5:30 PM.
I snagged a free chocolate on my way out the door.
I'm out there every Friday--it will be a refreshing change from the Bloom that always seems surprised when people want to check out or need human assistance. I'm not sure they are prepared for this challenge.
I went by and checked this store out about ten days ago. Sort of a bizarre, abandoned, "Mad Max" dystopian setting, since it's out in the middle of nowhere in an empty and very rough field. Definitely won't be on my list of places to stop and shop. I doubt it will survive unless the rest of Maple Lawn (isn't that the name of a cemetary in Beverly Hills, too?) gets built out pretty quick like.

Where's the rest of the story? How many people showed up? What did the parking lot look like?
