Since 2001, Allen Dyer has filed seven lawsuits against the Howard County Board of Education. He’s filed five of these lawsuits since he became a member of the board. So far he's 0 and 7. The cost to HoCo taxpayers for defending these actions is now over $400,000.00.
In a December letter from his attorney Harold J. Burns, Jr. to the boards counsel seeking to have the ethics complaint filed against him dismissed, Allen sang a far different tune.
“As an elected Member of the BOE, Mr. Dyer is understandably concerned at the time and expense that these proceedings will consume to no useful purpose.”
Does this mean his days of filing frivolous lawsuits are over?
I'm afraid that's just wishful thinking.
