Mobbie Wannabe

The Sun has decided to begin recognizing local blogs. Today the paper began accepting nominations for “The Mobbies: Maryland’s Outstanding Blogs.”

Cute name huh?

So far, two HoCo blogs have already been nominated, HowChow and Columbia Maryland’s Future. Nominations will be accepted through Friday, September 25th at 5:00 PM. Voting on the nominees will commence on Monday, September 28th at 8:00 AM and continue through Friday, October 9 at 5:00 PM. You can nominate blogs and vote here.

In The Sun’s own words, “vote early and often.”

Voting. Erg. Why doesn't the Sun do some reporting? Ask for the info (about local blogs). Receive it. Review it. Assess it. What's with all the voting? Is this like American Idol, but for blogs? Erg. Erg. Erg.

Wait, I'm complaining when I should be praising the Sun for doing something they coulda/shoulda done three years ago.

Haha! Vote Early and Vote Often! What a great saying for this seriously gerrymandered state!

Seriously, great blog, and you have my vote. Although I do not always agree with you, I think you present a comprehensive view of Howard County and its issues.

I hear that Ellen D. will be one of the judges....

I like that one: "keep your powder dry". Thanks for the Tuesday chuckle. Powder it is! The week after Christmas.

Howard County Blog will receive a large number of votes because the blogger played such a major role in shaping the debate about GGP's plans for downtown. Yeah.
