The first time didn’t bother me so much, a zip lock sandwich bag containing an advertisement for Fitness 19 and a few rocks for ballast. When the second one arrived on my drive this afternoon though, I decided to strike back.
Fitness 19 is the latest “fitness” club to appear on the local scene. Their unique shtick is their claim that membership will always cost $19.00 per month. I guess that just doesn’t leave much money for a respectable marketing effort.
I figure that if Fitness 19 can toss rocks at my house I should be able to return the favor. The next time I’m over by their sales center in Lynwood, I think I’ll just toss it back their way.

A more meaningful campaign would be to fill the bags with fat as ballast - makes getting stoned in your driveway a little better ;-)
Hey, it would sort of be like mailing back empty "No Postage Necessary" envelopes that credit card companies send you in the mail.
I believe the flyer I got in the mail from them stated that only the first 90 memberships or something were $19.00 a month forever.
I know...I thought the same thing when I received yet another one yesterday. I also picked many up off of the street that had been carelessly left or thrown there.
An old man grumbling . . .
If someone gives you lemons...squirt your enemies in the eyes with lemon juice! Does this gym have any plate glass windows?
Not that I'm advocating ironic social activism, by any means. Perhaps deliver a pallet of cinder blocks to their front door with some sort of truth in advertising message spray painted on it? I'm sure they'd get a lot of good exercise moving the cinder blocks out of the way.
Lol. Just found your blog and am kicking myself for not saving my bag of rocks to do the same too.
