Gary Arthur, the long serving Director of Parks and Recreation for Howard County, passed away this morning after a brief illness.
It’s pretty interesting…someone with this same name, probably in her 60’s or so (just a guess) went into a Citibank in Chicago just this week with a large bag of change that she wanted to have...

Gary was a true gentleman who built one of the premier Rec and Park programs in the country. Our prayers go out to his family.
Our County just lost one of the most dedicated public servants we have or will ever have. My condolences go out to his family.
