The Best of the Best

According to this front page article in today’s Sun about Maryland schools MSA testing results, Worthington Elementary School “achieved a first in Howard County. One hundred percent of third-, fourth- and fifth-grade students at the Ellicott City school scored proficient or advanced in reading. Every elementary school in the county had at least 80 percent of students scoring proficient or advanced in reading.”

Congratulations to the staff, teachers and parents who made this happen.

Go Wildcats!

  1. OK, what does that even mean? What does it mean to be "proficient" in reading and math? How do they factor children that are learning disabled into this calculation? How do other schools stack up? Why did they rip off Wilde Lake's mascot?

    This is a non-story.
